Synopsis
Jan Cvitkoviè's second feature film puts under the magnifying glass the inhabitants of a small town in Slovenia with a particular focus on one of the leading human emotions - fear. Fear of death results in want of security, warmth and love. The main character, Pero, is an intelligent man in mid thirties, who usually spends his literary talent by writing eulogies. But these speeches are not merely necrologies, because Pero, both consciously and unconsciously, implements his point of view and personal life philosophy in them. He lives in the family house with sisters Vilma and Ida, father and his nephew Johnny, while neighbor Šuki, Johnny’s father Jagger and Renata, Pero’s big crush, slowly walk into his life.
Awards The director Jan Cvitkoviè won Altadis - New Directors Award at San Sebastian Festival for his feature Gravehooping. .
